Katie Jones
Recovery Coaching Supervisor

Katie has a great love for nature and her family. Both of which have been hugely important to her recovery. She has a nineteen year old son with her partner of twenty three years, two nieces and a nephew. Katie also loves watching the sunset and goofy TV shows when she can. During a time in her life when she was in active addiction, she was visited by a recovery coach in the emergency department at the hospital. It was so helpful for her to feel supported and cared for during that time and not to feel judged or stigmatized. Katie graduated from treatment court in 2018 and has been in recovery for six years. Graduating from treatment court is what really started her on her recovery journey.

She now works with participants currently going through treatment court and is thankful to be able to use her experience to help guide people through the system and set them up for their own successful recovery. Katie is also a recovery coach for the Turning Point Center, where she meets with people one-on-one as well as facilitating various groups and meetings for the community. Additionally she coordinates with the Central Vermont EMS through the BEACON program to distribute harm reduction kits and temporary phones to individuals who have experienced an overdose.

Katie is extremely appreciative to be part of the Turning Point Center of Central Vermont team. She feels that recovery coaching, facilitating groups, and helping the community is the work she is supposed to be doing. It is healing for her and allows her to give back to the community that supported her when she needed it most. Katie is grateful that she has been able to connect with individuals who might be suffering, and can provide them with love, kindness, and hope.
