John Reese
John has an extensive background in regulatory oversight and has served over the years on many community, professional and employee support organizations, committees and boards. John’s recovery from alcohol use disorder began over 9 years ago. A few years back, and already well into his recovery, John saw a posting soliciting prospective recovery coaches and decided that he’d look into it. One thing led to another and he’s been a Turning Point Center of Central Vermont Recovery Coach serving our community from the emergency department at CVMC since July 2020.
On the work he’s doing now, John says, "There is no greater gift than knowing that you’ve helped someone see that there is a path out of their suffering. I’m incredibly fortunate that I am able to take my struggles with alcohol and my life experience to share with others suffering from substance use disorder, along with my grateful heart, and help our brothers and sisters find their recovery paths."
